LoadALot, an innovative technology-based moving company, was originally founded in February 2016 by former UCT student. At the time, university students were struggling to both move their goods from their residence and find affordable, temporary storage for the holidays. He saw this as a golden opportunity to put his diverse business skills to work and create a company that would offer students not only moving services but storage, airport transfers and long-distance deliveries between Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.

In October 2016, the company started providing to the young professionals, expanding and solidifying themselves as a key player in the moving space in South Africa. LoadALot has developed an ecosystem of key partners to provide an end to end seamless moving experience. The End to End service includes packing, packaging, cleaning and storing.

LoadALot’s technology integration provides an intelligent transportation web app, creating #MoveTech, a brand-new industry that is disrupting the future of traditional moving. The Technology includes Artificial Intelligence, Driver Behaviour Monitoring and Vehicles to Vehicle (V2V) communications systems to reinvent the house and office moving experience.

The AI model autonomously classifies furniture items that can be moved from just a picture(s). The app further allows users to instantly generate quotations based on the AI model or manual type in.
